Principal and Owner of Mortimore and Co

Simon Mortimore is the Principal and Owner of Mortimore and Co Chartered Certified Accountants.  He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Simon has over 16 years of experience in the Accountancy Profession having graduated from Exeter University in 1994 with a Degree in Accountancy Studies.   His background is from a small practice where his knowledge of small owner managed businesses in various sectors has been obtained.  Simon has worked in practice throughout the South West of England.

Simon also has extensive personal experience of the the intricacies of running a small business with his parents who were previously self employed for over 35 years.  With experience in Public Houses, Restaurants, Cafes and Gift shops Simon offers a particular understanding of these sectors.

Having joined Elliott, Mortimore Accountants as a partner in 2005 Simon implemented a fully IT networked office utlising his extensive knowledge of IT systems and software.  In September 2008 Simon assumed responsibility for the practice upon the retirement of Martin Elliott and Mortimore and Co Chartered Certified Accountants was formed.  Simon has developed the practice into a position where it now fully utilises the lastest in technology in such a way as to best look after the needs of the clients. 

Simon prides himself on his ability to explain issues in terms that other non Accountants can understand thereby taking the concern away from clients.

Whist he promotes technology he still understands the need to offer service to a variety of different clients and adapt the advice accordingly.
